These terms govern your use of marinelearn.org, operated by MarineLearn Limited. They cover the website only. Training is contracted separately and is governed by the agreement for that engagement.

What this site is, and is not.

  • Information, not an offer

    Programme descriptions, durations, module content and delivery modes are published for information. They do not constitute an offer capable of acceptance. A binding arrangement arises only from a signed agreement or an accepted written quotation.

  • Subject to approval and change

    Programmes are reviewed and revised under version control, and content may change between cohorts. The particulars that apply to you are those in your own course confirmation, not those on this page at the time you read it.

  • Not professional advice

    Material on this site describes what our programmes teach. It is not legal, financial, insurance, engineering or security advice, and it must not be relied on in place of advice on your own circumstances.

  • Third-party references

    Where we cite conventions, regulations, standards or public incidents, we do so for description. Always consult the authoritative published source before acting.

What you may and may not do.

  • Permitted use

    You may read, print and share pages of this site for your own or your organisation's internal purposes, including in a procurement or evaluation process.

  • Our material

    The content of this site, including course outlines, module descriptions, written material and the MarineLearn name and marks, belongs to MarineLearn Limited or its licensors. Republishing it commercially, or presenting it as your own or another provider's, is not permitted.

  • Do not misuse the site

    Do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security, or use it to distribute unlawful or harmful material.

  • Availability

    We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw pages without notice.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published on this site, as distinct from obligations we take on under a training agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
